Zhou Zhang Completes Simulation Fellowship

In August, Dr. Zhou Zhang completed his year-long simulation fellowship with us at CSSALT.

While he was with us, Dr. Zhang used a prostate biopsy (PBx) simulator newly developed by CSSALT to conceive a methodical, pitch-neutral approach to side fire transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) guided PBx during his CSSALT fellowship. This side-fire TRUS PBx method was taught via the simulator to Jefferson, Toronto General and Princess Margaret urology residents and oncology fellows by Dr. Lampotang. Dr. Zhang and others at the CSSALT lab also wrote a manuscript on the method and submitted it to be published in The Journal of Urology.

We wish him good luck in all his future endeavors!
