APSF Technology Education Initiative

The Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation (APSF) has launched a Technology Education Initiative. As part of that initiative, the simulation and software development teams at the University of Florida Center for Safety, Simulation & Advanced Learning Technologies (CSSALT) are working with the APSF Committee on Technology to develop online courses.

The  Low-Flow Anesthesia (LFA) course was launched at the American Society of Anesthesiologists meeting on October 21, 2022. The LFA course is free, provides 3 CME hours and MOCA Patient Safety credits and is accessible to all anesthesia professionals.  

The Quantitative Neuromuscular Monitoring (QNM) course was launched at the American Society of Anesthesiologists meeting on October 13, 2023. The QNM course is free and is accessible to all anesthesia professionals. 

 The External Defibrillation, Cardioversion, and Pacing course is being developed. The course will be free and accessible to all anesthesia professionals.
