placement of flow sensor

The placement of orifice in Concept Ventilator Assembly Version 1.2 is in the end of inhalation tube.
But in the schematic in:

Engineering Specifications

shows the flowmeter placed in the exhalation end.

what type of flow meter is used ?
is two BMP pressure sensors are used in both sides of the orifice.
