Simulator Reservation

Our simulators are available for training at UF Health and external institutions in the U.S. and internationally. The simulators are portable, designed to meet airline checked luggage requirements, and ready for turnkey deployment. All CSSALT-built simulators must be requested in advance so that the team can ensure they are functioning properly and so that they will know when to expect the simulators back, if being used outside the lab. Use of Simulators on UF Gainesville Campus

  • The preferred training location on the UF Gainesville campus is the CSSALT lab in the Communicore building, CG-15.
  • For simulator use outside the CSSALT lab, the simulator(s) are to be picked up and returned to CG-15.
  • Submit the online CSSALT Simulators Request Form 2 weeks in advance of intended use.

Use of Simulators Outside the UF Gainesville Campus in the United States

  • This includes use at UF Health facilities outside of Gainesville.
  • Submit the online CSSALT Simulators Request Form 4 weeks in advance of intended use.
  • A team member will inform UF Asset Management the name of the person responsible for the simulator along with dates and location information.
  • Upon return of the simulator(s) to the CSSALT lab (CG-15), a team member will inform Asset Management the simulator(s) has been returned and the requester is no longer responsible for it.

Use of Simulators Outside the United States

  • Submit the online CSSALT Simulators Request Form 8 weeks in advance of intended use.
  • Please note that importing the simulator into another country — whether as checked luggage or via a courier service such as FedEx — may be subject to customs duties.
  • A team member will inform UF Asset Management the name of the person responsible for the simulator along with dates and location information.
  • Upon return of the simulator(s) to the CSSALT lab (CG-15), a team member will inform Asset Management the simulator(s) has been returned and the requester is no longer responsible for it.
